The Guzmán ranch is situated in La Rinconada (Sevilla) and it is the head office of the company Fundación Juan Ramón Guillén. This Hacienda holds activities to foster the knowledge and dissemination of the rural sector in general and particularly the olive sector.
In Hacienda Guzmán there are more than 300 hectares of olive trees and its history started in the 16th century when Hernando Colón, Christopher Columbus’s son who began to export oil made by Hacienda Guzmán to Spanish colonies in America. Every tower had a mill, which means being the most important oil factory in the world at that time.
The only museum of growing olive trees in the world is one of the major achievements of our ranch. The ranch has an amount of 160 olive trees from all over the world. This huge variety, favoured by a wonderful and unique climate makes possible researching process.
Research is carried out with an olive oil mill in a scale of 1:100 in order to take care of the olive fruit in detail. Furthermore we have a tasting room devoted to training and professional use, where you can find smell and flavour of our products in detail.
We are rooted in the Andalusian culture such as taming, carriages and bull-fighting. The Guzmán Ranch also has a stable of Spanish breed horses, as well as a private museum of original 17th, 18th and 19th century cars where you can find all the gadgets and outfits used since that time until now.
